Marie Fedowitz has a storied history in the construction and interior design field. After decades of traveling the world gathering vast experience as a plaster artisan, interior designer, and construction manager, Marie returned to Richmond where it was time to create something of her own: Abode. As principal designer, Marie designs residential & commercial projects while managing the details within our decorative division. With over 25 years of experience as a craftswoman, she has developed a keen eye for nuanced detail. This outlook pushes design further with her willingness to buck the trend and work the process differently by sourcing and creating custom pieces, furniture, hardware & lighting that reflect Abode's high standard for the craft and bring our client's imagination. While travel is essential to Marie’s life, she enjoys dinners out and a dry martini.

Tony Brown has been in the construction industry for over 25 years. Tony honed his eye for detail and his craft for precise aesthetics early on in his career as a tile contractor. He continued developing his skills in many aspects of general construction, always specializing in fine craftsmanship. In 2008, Tony’s expertise led him to an artisan plaster company based in Brooklyn, NY. He spent the next 10 years traveling across the United States installing a variety of plaster finishes for Anthropologie stores. As Abode’s Install Director, he trains and leads Abode’s team of highly skilled artisans. Tony is loved by his friends, our clients, and every animal he meets.

Leonie works in a dual role as an interior designer and studio manager at Abode. Before starting Abode, Leonie worked as a Project Manager at Olsten Building Company. She is well versed in client management and is a great asset as the liaison between clients and our trade partners. A graduate of the VCUarts Interior Design program, Leonie was recognized early in her career with the Metropolis Magazine Future 100 Award and the VCU Black History in the Making Award. Outside of work, Leonie finds inspiration through her travels, friends, and her cat, Sassy.
